Happy Family Rules

Well now I don’t mean to be all intrusive in your family life, but sometime you may need help! And that’s why I’ve come up with this post – rules every happy family swears by! You may have set rules in your home, but if chaos is still marking its presence in your home, you need to rewrite the rules. Take a look at these rules; you’ll know what to cut down and what rules to add in:

Discuss the rules:
While creating the rules, you should involve your family in it. This way, every member gets a chance to put forth his opinion and views, making the rules more relatable and not imposed. Even the smallest member of your family can be included in the discussion. Come up with a set of rules everyone is comfortable by and attempt to get everyone to stick to them. Life will be a lot easier then!

Assign tasks:
To ensure only one person isn’t burdened with all the tasks, you have to come up with a system to assign tasks to everyone. Depending on age, available time, these tasks can be given. And every member is responsible for the work assigned to them, so that makes the system more sorted. Everyone is involved enough in the functioning of the household, and things will go on harmoniously.

Set aside time to talk:

time to talk

There are many homes where a specific hour is set aside just for the family to interact. This no-gadget time is entirely family time, where all the family members sit and discuss their day with each other. This helps you strengthen the bond you have with each other. Also, things are clarified and sorted right there, so there is no scope for any arguments in the future about those.

Do fun stuff together:
Bonding as a family is, and nothing more than doing fun activities together can help you do that. Play board games, set up camp in your backyard, have barbeque nights, cook or bake together, enjoy karaoke – you have to take out the time for the fun too. After all, it’s the fun that makes memories right?

Look out for each other:
Not every member of the family is the same. Someone may be an introvert; someone may be outspoken. You need to look out for every person differently and make sure that every member respects the others for who they are. It’s family where we can be ourselves entirely – so why not make it encourage it?
